Two of four Wichita Board of Education members whose terms expire in 2010 filed for re-election Tuesday.
Lynn Rogers and Betty Arnold are the first candidates to launch with the Sedgwick County Elections Office for seats on the Wichita school board.
Rogers, who represents District 6, is running for a fourth term about the board. Arnold, the District 1 representative, has served on the school board since 2007.
Both said they believe their experience will help guide the board through budgetary challenges as well as other issues in coming years.
I think the ability I have about the board, particularly if it comes to your budget and the intricacies of the school finance formula, would have been a good thing, Rogers said Tuesday.
Rogers, 54, a vice president at Farm Credit Leasing, was elected on the
